During Art Basel 2016, one saw scores of renowned street artists from across the country and around the world busy creating new artwork. Charm City Streets invites you along to marvel at the artistic action that took place a few days ago in Wynwood.

Charm City Streets encountered well-known contemporary artist Shepard Fairey as he and the Obey Giant crew were wrapping up work on the mural Fruits of our labor – Mother nature on the run for Mana Urban Arts Projects and Mana Contemporary.

The characters in the mural by renowned LA artist Danny Minnick display a frenetic yet jocular action and are reminiscent of Keith Haring’s whimsical figures.

Italian street artist Zed1 and his crew created a mural containing a fanciful goose-maid reclining on a wheeled cart. Regrettably, Charm City Streets had to leave Miami before seeing the completed artwork.

A number of artists from Chicago gathered at Art Basel 2016 to create the art-filled background for an event by Sites and Sounds Basel. They included Dbozic_art, IN_ZO,  ArtistSheena, Phillip Scott, Rahmaan Statik, Asend, Max Sansing, Brendan Cooney,  and Czr Prz. The Brazilian artist known as Bruno Monkey and the Canadian-Chilean artist Shalak Attack created a ginormous imaginative mural on the opposite side of the lot.
