In posts over the past week or so, Charm City Streets has led you on a photo safari through twisting alleyways, inside an old factory, past warehouses trackside, and along the streets of Wynwood during Art Basel 2016. Today’s leg of the photo safari leads past the walls Wynwood has to offer in other nooks and crannies. Be prepared to see spectacular graffiti.
This second collection of images details Aquarela, Claudia La Bianca, Case Maclaim, D*Face, DonRimx, Lexi Bella, Li-Hill, Lovenotes, Minuske, Mr Nerds, Nepo, Plasma Slug, and other street artists in action during the 2016 Bushwick Block Party.
Last weekend, the Bushwick Collective celebrated its 5th Annual Block Party. Renowned graffiti and street artists from all four corners of the globe gathered in Brooklyn to create new pieces live. Block after block, people packed the streets to watch these artists in action and to enjoy the live music performances.
Two years ago, JMZ Walls began. It shares a similar belief with The Bushwick Collective, that is, street art has a positive influence on a neighborhood and benefits both local community members and tourists alike.
Centered around the Myrtle Avenue-Broadway Station (which the J, M and Z subway lines share), you will find an open air gallery of rich, imaginative murals created by prominent artists from Brooklyn and the four corners of the globe.
