Headquartered in Berlin’s Tempelhof-Schoeneberg district, Urban Nation supports street art and artists world-wide. Their motto is all nations under one roof; and, their goal is a global exchange of artistic ideas, creative energies, and innovative talents.
Pedestrian passageways under busy city streets make maneuvering one’s way through Munich quicker and safer. Moreover, they provide ample wall space for street artists to express their creativity. A prime example is the passageway near the Friedensengel where the artist Loomit curated a mural project a few years ago.
Once Open Walls Baltimore 2014 wrapped up in May, Gaia traveled about the country and Europe producing a prodigious number of murals. In June he completed three murals: City of Altruism in Greenville, NC; Boundary in Atlanta, GA … a collaborative piece with Baltimore artist Nanook, Italian artist Ozmo, and David Cogdill; and, the Memorial to Vincent Chin in Detroit, MI
July saw Gaia in Austria participating with Cyrcle – Cash, Cans & Candy on a mural highlighting Vienna’s rich architectural history … and in southeast Italy where he painted Non Ricordo (I do not remember) for the Viavai Project in Racale.
