Happy Halloween! In days of yore, many feared the boundary between the world of the living and the realm of the dead blurred on All Hallow’s Eve. Spirits of the dearly departed and all manner of frightful creatures were thought to come forth through this haze and roam about on this very night. Even brain-thirsty zombies may be out and about. After painting a stunning 100+ foot long mural in the Annapolis Design District, Mateu Velasco fashioned an eye-catching graphic mural for Section 1 Project. Roberta Pardo of Urban Walls Brazil collaborated with Richard Best of Section 1 Project to curate this latest mural at the Section 1 Project Creative Labs in Clipper Mill.
On Saturday, September 17th, the Annapolis Design District hosted its second annual Art In Action Street Festival. Craftspeople and their handicrafts, food vendors, live music, and hundreds upon hundreds of local residents filled the festival area.
