The second part of Charm City Streets’ illustrated report on the 7th Annual Bushwick Collective Block Party provides you behind-the-scene coverage of an additional 11 artists:
The 7th Annual Bushwick Collective Block Party took place last weekend, and everyone enjoyed a rousing time. There was live music throughout the day; scrumptious vittles from a variety of NYC foodtrucks; a beer garden; and, fantastic new art work by 30+ artists and graff writers from around the world. Charm City Streets spent several days photographing the artists at work and now shares those behind-the-scene images with you.
For those of us from northern climes, the weather during Art Basel 2016 was summer-like. Truth be told, it was hot. One probable reason for the high temperatures was the artist Sipros. He was burning up Miami painting five murals of his own and then collaborating on the block-long mural of Trump as Batman’s The Joker. The Bushwick Collective and Mana Urban Arts Projects sponsored each piece.
Late last week Charm City Streets took advantage of the mild weather and spent several days on a photo tour of Brooklyn. Well-known local, national, and international artists have been busy painting captivating new murals in the Bed-Stuy, Bushwick, Greenpoint, and East Williamsburg neighborhoods.
