After touring Brooklyn, Charm City Streets boarded the L Line and spent two days in Lower Manhattan in search of new and new-to-me murals.
It is said April showers bring flowers. I am not a horticulturist, but I can say the warm weather certainly brought about an explosion of crazy fresh graff and murals all around town. Here follows the artwork Charm City Streets came across during the second half of the month.
For those of us from northern climes, the weather during Art Basel 2016 was summer-like. Truth be told, it was hot. One probable reason for the high temperatures was the artist Sipros. He was burning up Miami painting five murals of his own and then collaborating on the block-long mural of Trump as Batman’s The Joker. The Bushwick Collective and Mana Urban Arts Projects sponsored each piece.
Today’s edition of What’s Up on Charm City Streets covers the month of February, 2015. Snowstorms, sleet, ice, freezing temperatures, and severe wintry weather forced most artists to stay indoors this month.
