This edition of What’s Up on Charm City Streets covers the first three months of 2014. In Southwest Baltimore (Sowebo), Gaia painted a mural of Nelson Mandela as part of the worldwide arts project Kurema, Kureba, Kwiga. To Create, To See, To Learn seeks to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS in Rwanda, to foster positive relationships between those living with HIV/AIDS and their communities, and to support the efforts of healthcare providers.
Today’s collection features new wheatpastes by Nether; a collaborative piece by Mode and Siek; a sky-high throwup by Userp; plus work by eleven artists in Graffiti Alley.
